Hello Games, the UK based indie start-up, have just announced that the beloved motorbike stuntman Joe Danger will bring both his games, Joe Danger and Joe Danger 2: The Movie, onto PCs via Steam. The games will include Big Picture Mode and Steamworks support and will feature and new levels.

“I think we have some kind of OCD at Hello Games We have a rule that whenever we put our games onto a new platform we have to add something. We can’t just do a quick and dirty port. We have some more surprises to announce for the PC editions of Joe Danger as we lock them down.

Actually, PC is Joe Danger’s spiritual home. I coded my first ever PC engine when we started making the original Joe Danger back in 2009, because we couldn’t get hold of console devkits. So it’s incredibly exciting to be finally able to release it”, the founder of Hello Games, Sean Murray, stated.

Arcen Games, best known for AI War: Fleet Command, and A Valley Without Wind, have just announced that its turn-based strategy god game Skyward Collapse is out now for Windows PC and Mac OS X on Steam, GamersGate, Green Man Gaming and the Arcen Store.

In Skyward Collapse you have to build and populate the floating continent of Luminith. You can create — but not control — gods, creatures, and artifacts from both Greek and Norse mythology. As The Creator, you are free you to tackle problems your own way. Among other you must balance a war between towns without letting either side obliterate the other, rule over gods, creatures, and men who refuse to obey you, and build a thriving landscape of villages against the threat of bandits and mythological powers.

Your task is to keep both factions alive until The Master calls you home — but this is harder than it sounds. Bandits, along with periodic Woes add to the variety of challenges that you’ll face in any given game. Every game plays out completely differently, and you’ll need even the craziest of your powers in order to survive what lies in store for you.

It was a tough battle until the very last hours but Full Control’s Jagged Alliance: Flashback managed to reach its Kickstarter funding goal of $350,000 ( raising $368,614 in total from 7,167backers ). The campaign began on April 23, following an announcement of the developers’ intent to make a game that rebooted the series in a direction fans loved.

“We would like to thank all the backers for making Jagged Alliance: Flashback a reality. We couldn’t be happier with all the awesome support we have been getting from the JA community and we are certain that we couldn’t have reached our goal without all your help. It is now our task to deliver, and make a game that is worthy of all the trust, love and hope you’ve put into this project. Thankfully the community will be ready to assist us on many different levels, which we are surely looking forward to”, the developers stated.

Based on the widely popular critically acclaimed Jagged Alliance series, Jagged Alliance: Flashback won’t be a reboot, but a reset that will return the franchise to the tactical turn-based action of the original games. Set in the mid-1980’s on the Caribbean Island of San Christobal, Jagged Alliance: Flashback transports players back in time to the cold war era. They are to experience the events surrounding the foundation of A.I.M. the international mercenary organization.

Full Control also revealed that they will setup a Slacker Backer initiative on their minisite, (www.jaggedallianceflashback.com) which will run for at least 2-3 months, so both new and current backer will have a chance to make a push for additional Stretch Goals.

Electronic Arts today announced Need for Speed Rivals, an action/racing game created by EA’s newest studio Ghost Games, and powered by the Frostbite 3 game engine. Ghost Games also announced today the long-awaited return of Ferrari to the Need for Speed franchise.

For the first time in seven years, gamers can get behind the wheel of some of the most luxurious, desirable automobiles on the planet, including the F12berlinetta. Warner Bros. today announced Dying Light, a first-person, action survival horror game with a day-night cycle set in a vast open world under development by Techland. At daytime, you will traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak, searching for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population. At night, the hunter becomes the hunted, as the infected become aggressive and more dangerous.

Deep Silver today announced that 4A Games will be supporting the critically acclaimed Metro: Last Light with a series of original single player content packs throughout the summer which can be purchased at a discount with the Season Pass, now available on Steam, Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the PlayStation Network.

The Season Pass also grants an additional weapon, the deadly Abzats, a semi-automatic shotgun rifle with a devastating secondary fire mode that unleashes six shells in one blast.

“Artyom’s story may have been concluded in Metro: Last Light, but there are other characters with stories to tell, some familiar locations that fans of the Metro series wanted to revisit, and some new challenges that 4A wanted to explore,” said Andrew Prokhorov, Creative Director at 4A Games. “Since completing the game we have been working on these new stories and hope to release them throughout the summer.”
